Bucks Quarter Friends at Doylestown Meeting

The weather was perfect for Bucks Quarter Friends to gather at Doylestown Meeting on August 17th for their regularly scheduled Quarterly Meeting.

The morning started with a hearty welcome from Doylestown Friends, who were well prepared for the gathering. Plenty of finger foods and coffee greeted Friends from around the Quarter.

As one of the smaller meetinghouses in the Quarter, there was some concern that if the weather didn’t cooperate it might be a tight fit for 60-70 Friends to find a place to sit to eat lunch together.

Luckily, we were able to sit outside under the shade of some tents and enjoy the beautiful weather and the conversation.

We heard annual reports from Middletown, Southampton, Wrightstown, Yardley and Fallsington meetings, and Friends shared stories of vitality about their meeting communities.

Our next Quarterly Meeting will be hosted by Fallsington Friends and will be held at their historic meetinghouse on November 16, 2025.
