The day’s programming will start with Meeting for Worship from 10:00 am to 10:50 am, which will be followed by afterthoughts, announcements and hymn singing.

At 11:15 there will be a program entitled: Friends Education and its Role in the Health of the Religious Society of Friends. Presenters Jeff Markovitz, a member of Plymouth Meeting and Co-Clerk of the Friends Collaborative, and Tom Hoopes, head of the Religions Department at George School and a member of Newtown Meeting, will each share some of their personal stories in Friends education. Friends will also learn about the The Friends Collaborative, a new Quaker organization that focuses on creating scholarship funding for children to attend Friends schools. Since 2016, the Friends Collaborative has provided over $50 million in financial aid. Friends will be invited to learn about this new organization and its support of not only Friends’ schools, but of Quakerism as a whole.

At noon Solebury Friends will provide a light lunch of soup, bread, desserts and beverages.

Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business will begin promptly at 1:00 pm. We will hear annual reports from Doylestown, Makefield, and Quakertown Meetings, the Bucks Quarter Outreach Committee, and Friends Camp Association (Camp Onas). The Treasurer will present the preliminary 2024-25 budget for review and comment. Advance documents should be available one week prior to the meeting; you can access them at www.quakersbucks.org/members.
