Springtime Meeting for Bucks Quarter Quakers

Bucks Quarterly Meeting of Friends met for their May Quarterly Meeting on May 15th, under the care of Doylestown Friends Meeting. Due to the recent increases in COVID-19 cases, the Quarter once again met virtually, as we have done since May of 2020.

About 100 Friends joined throughout the day to take part in worship, business and fellowship.

The day began with Gretchen Castle, Dean of Earlham School of Religion and Doylestown Meeting member, speaking on Peace Assertions in a Global Context. Her well-received presentation was recorded and is available for viewing on YouTube:

Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business yielded many decisions:

  • Barring any pandemic issues, the August Quarterly Meeting will be held in a hybrid manner at Fallsington Friends Meeting and on Zoom.

  • Annual reports were received from Bristol, Buckingham, Fallsington and Lehigh Valley Meetings; you can read them here.

  • The 2022-23 budget was approved, which once again includes $500 Outreach Grants available to Bucks Quarter meetings.
