Southampton Friends at Southampton Days

Stephen, Jim, Carolyn, and John

Southampton Friends John Magee, Stephen Moyer, and Carolyn and Jim Michener, were once again a presence at the annual Southampton Days, held from June 29th to July 4th at Tamanend Park in Southampton.

They had a lot of fun talking with people, engaging them with the “Pick the Quaker” game, and once again had the popular children’s tile painting. Everyone was given a card with a picture of Edward Hicks’ Peaceable Kingdomon to take home.

New this year, Carolyn designed “Peace Passes” – small cards that she offered to passersby that listed five things that they could do to stop violence and “pass peace.”

Always the environmentalist, Carolyn took a sweep with a trash bag and disposable gloves to root through the trash to find aluminum cans – 69 each night – or a total of 138. We thank Carolyn for being such a good climate steward!
