Boone Farm: Its People and Place in Middletown History

On February 16, Middletown Meeting member Pat Mervine spent time with Friends discussing her new book Boone Farm: Its People and Place in Middletown History .

The Boone Farm property is the new home to the African American Museum of Bucks County. All proceeds from the book will be donated to the museum; renovations are projected to cost around $3.7 million. For more information and to donate, please visit https://infoaambc.org/.

The Boone Farm dates back to the early days of colonial Bucks County. Its owners–both Quaker and non-Quaker–were witness to 300 years of history, including Native American treaties, slavery, abolition and innovations in farming and industry.

Pat’s book is available for purchase at Commonplace Reader Bookstore in Yardley and at the Middletown Township Municipal Building.
