World Quaker Day is on October 4th, and this year’s theme is Let Peace Be Among Us with the supporting Bible passage, Hebrews 12:14, “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy.”
FWCC is planning Global Online Worship on the day, bringing together Friends across borders, languages and Quaker traditions with a shared focus on peace.
The worship is planned to start at 14:00 UTC and last for 8+ hours, reaching across many time zones from the Americas to Aotearoa/New Zealand. Each hour of worship will be dedicated to a part of the world where prayers for peace are particularly needed – you’re welcome to join for as little or as long as you’d like.
