11:00 am Program: Stepping with Faith Into Action: Addressing the Climate Crisis
Lehigh Valley Friends will highlight actionable and replicable steps taken by both the Meeting as a whole and individual Friends to move towards a more sustainable future. We will focus on our relationship with the natural world, our use of energy (in the meetinghouse and our homes), how our decision-making reflects our Quaker testimonies, and what next steps the Meeting is taking to broaden our knowledge of the climate crisis and the actions we need to take to ameliorate it. Four Lehigh Valley Friends will present changes they have made to their homes and gardens over the years to help wildlife, and decrease their use of fossil fuels. We will share considerations and discussions from our HVAC system upgrade as well as our dedication to increasing our native plantings. There will be time at the end for questions and for Friends to share their own ideas.
Children’s Program: Christine & Bill Murray will be taking the kids outside (in all weather!) to look for tracks and other signs of wildlife. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather!
12:00 pm Potluck lunch provided by Lehigh Valley Friends.
1:00 pm Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business
