The home of Nicholas Waln near Neshaminy Creek was the
first meeting place for Middletown Friends meeting in 1683. A schoolmaster
was hired and the first school in the area begun. The meetinghouse and
school were used as a hospital during the battle of Trenton. The present
building was built in 1793. You can download the June 2008 newsletter.
