For its January 26th Meeting, the PYM Meeting on Worship and Ministry invites other groups and individuals who travel among our Monthly Meetings to join in consideration of this ministry. The Meeting will be hosted by Newtown Friends Meeting. Friends will worship with Newtown Meeting at 11 am, chat over a bag lunch, and then convene for business.
Those in Worship and Ministry have noted with appreciation what seems to be an increasing interest among groups and individuals to visit among the Monthly Meetings. For more information, call Mario Cavallini, Clerk at 1-856-935-3605 or email: marioc@mindspring.com. Or, call Paul Kester at 215-968-2317.
We have a wonderful group of kids! We need Friends in the Quarter who have special skills and talents. Think about what you do. Is it gardening, something medical, juggling, painting a house or painting a picture, a person who designs posters or someone who does clothing, cooking, crafts, art, games, birdfeeders, small construction projects, policeman, or a trip to Pennswood Village. These kinds of activities could possibly entertain Peace Pals for an evening. They are nice kids. Call Sandy Langhart with your ideas. Phone: 215-860-9747.
Pace Pals will enjoy Yoga at Wrightstown Meeting. with Almira Sharp (Newtown Meeting). She is a wonderful woman who has done Yoga for a long time now. If you do Yoga yourself you can help others. It’s easy and relaxing. You will feel better when you leave
The date is Sat, January 18th, 2002. Peace Pals begins at 7 pm. Parent pick-up is 9:00 pm. You won’t need a permission form if you were there previously. If you’re coming for the first time, don’t forget to have your parent fill out the permission form. Bring a friend!
This program is on January 11th, 2003, from 9:30-2:30 pm, at Friends Center. David Bourns, founding Principal of the Paul Cuffee Charter School in Providence, Rhode Island, will deliver the keynote address. There will be workshops and small group discussions! To attend, please RSVP to Elke Muller by January 6th. Call 215-241-7223 or mailto:melkm@pym.org for more information.

From Phil Mullen at PYM: Some Americans meeting recently with the organization Yesh Gvul (“It is enough.”) learned of an easy way to support the several hundred Israeli soldiers and reservists who have refused to deploy in the occupied territories of what will someday be Palestine. You can email them letters of support: mailto:mdash@seruv.org.il - or Yesh Gvul, PO Box 16238, Tel Aviv, Israel.
