Last year the United Nations unanimously resolved to designate September 21st of each year as an "International Day of Peace." The goal is that the entire world observe a day of "global ceasefire and nonviolence." All people and communities of faith are invited to mark the day in an appropriate manner, especially by participating in a 24-hour Vigil for Peace or a prayer chain among the members of our community. You can join in the Metropolitan area-wide chain of prayer by adopting one hour between midnight Friday and midnight Saturday, coordinated by the Metropolitan Christian Council of Philadelphia (215-547-2656). You may want to join in the prayers being held during the Peace Fair at Buckingham Meeting. For more information: 215-968-2913.

Wrightstown's Auction raised enough extra funds to provide a new climbing structure for the playground. The new structure has multilevel platforms, a lookout nook, fireman's pole, slide, and an awesome nine-foot rock-climbing wall, which has been nicknamed the "I Can Do It" wall.
