Bucks Quarter Outreach Committee
At the Quarterly Meeting in February Friends in Bucks Quarter gave approval for an Outreach Committee for our Quarter. The initial meeting was held at Pennswood on Wednesday, April 14th. Some of the members of the committee enjoyed being on the Quaker Heritage Celebration committee so much that they have volunteered again! In addition, there are new members on the committee. If you are interested in adding your ideas, call Sandy at 860-9747. The next meeting is on Wednesday, June 9th.
Bucks Quarterly Meeting Changes Domain Name and Service Provider
The BQM Oversight committee, at its last meeting, approved changes in our participation on the Internet. Our new web-page address is www.quakersbucks.org. Using "quakers" at the beginning of the name should attract more Friends and seekers. We will continue to use our existing address (www.libertynet.org/~bucksqtr) for a while. Our website is physically located on Plantangenet (www.pil.net), a local Internet service provider in Doylestown.
Changes and revisions to our web page are on-going, thanks to Bill Sharp (Wrightstown Meeting). The full-size map that was in the Quaker Heritage Brochure will be put up on the web site. In addition, the small maps from the brochure are being added to each meeting’s page. Hobie Lunin (Middletown Meeting) has been taking color photograghs of the meetinghouses to supplement existing line drawings. You may want to take a look at our web page!
