The Chandler Hall Bereavement Day Camp gives children an opportunity to explore grief, express feelings and develop coping strategies in a safe environment.  It allows children who have experienced the death of a significant person to come together for sharing and fun.  Camp meets from August 24-28, Mon-Fri, from 9 AM-1 PM, at Makefield Meeting.  There is no charge for the Bereavement Day Camp.  For information call 860-4000, ext. 209.

The new Fellowship of Quakers in the Arts show at Friends Center features two young artists who are mentally challenged and two older artists who have long experience in working with challenged people.  Stop in and check it out!'

Circle Saturday, October 10th, on your calendar if you are a clerk, First Day teacher, Religious Ed clerk, youth leader, or recording clerk!  Save that date for You Can Teach, Clerk and Lead It! Day.  More information is coming our way soon.

If your meeting has spare benches for sale or to give away Wright Horne would love to hear from you.  He gets many calls  from Meetings, organizations, and individuals asking for meetinghouse benches.  Wright’s number is 241-7202.

Due and owing to the Quaker Heritage Celebration on the weekend of October 3rd and 4th, the Whale Watch trip, usually scheduled for the last Saturday in September, will not be held this year.  Friends will be busy with final touches for the coming Quaker Heritage Celebration weekend!

Chandler Hall Friends are very grateful to Friends from the Monthly Meetings in Bucks Quarter who attend the Quaker worship half hour, followed by regular church service.  Young people with musical talent and/or a pianist makes the service more enjoyable.  Residents look forward to the fellowship with Friends from the meetings.

Mark your calendar for October 23-25 for the Quaker Couples Enrichment Weekend at Camp Onas, led by Gretta and Jacob Stone of Doylestown Meeting.  Call 345-0575 for more information.

Doug Meaker has written a lucid explanation of how PYM works under the new system.  For a copy, call 908-995-2276.
