PYM Middle School Friends Gathering

"Bodyworks" is the theme of the PYM Middle School Christmas Gathering on December 5-7 at Burlington Meetinghouse. Mary Arnett & Dorothy Carroll at Falls

Mary Arnett and Dorothy Carroll will lead the Adult First Day Class at Falls Meeting on Sunday, December 14th, at 9:45 AM. They will talk about their work in the former Yugoslavia. Their mission is designed to help the various ethnic groups engage in dialogue and conflict resolution. Friends from throughout the Quarter are invited to hear Mary and Dorothy, who can help Friends understand the situation in the former Yugoslavia.

Under Milk Wood at George School

The wonderfully whimsical and poetic play, Under Milkwood, by Dylan Thomas, will be performed at George School free of charge on December 12th at 8 PM and December 13th at 7 PM (note time change). The play follows the dreams and activities of the inhabitants of Milk Wood, a quaintly quixotic Welsh village, from near dawn to well after dusk, on a typical spring day. There are many zany and bizarre characters in the play. Under Milkwood will be performed by George School students who are in the advanced drama classes.

Mittens and Milk Project

The Mittens and Milk Project, under the auspices of the AFSC, is sending powdered milk and children’s mittens to North Korean children. The milk and mittens are to help alleviate famine and warm the hands of Korean children during the coming bitter cold winter. Your mittens and/or check for milk should be sent to AFSC at 1501 Cherry St., Philadelphia, PA 19102 by January 15, 1998.

PYM Wants Our News!

If your meeting does not already send the newsletter to PYM, they wish you would. Judy Van Hoy reads them all! She copies articles which might be of interest to the staff and files them. Help spread the BQM word by putting Judy on your mailing list: PYM, 1515 Cherry, Phila., PA 19102.
